Being Whole
Nov 17, 2021
One belief we encounter again and again in our work with people is that healing from trauma takes time, or needs more space. Even after deep, liberating feeling-through, being held, emotional release and so on, the mind reacts with the strategy "it's not enough yet" or "it keeps coming back".
Something is always still missing, or it is never seen as completely healed. This belief keeps recreating the lack and the trauma. That is why, in our work, it has become more and more important to recognise the beliefs behind the trauma as the greatest resistance. The physical release is often the easier part. The belief that crept in through a traumatic experience is what keeps pushing the lack ahead of itself or lets it come alive again in other situations.
The belief surrounding the trauma has more power than the trauma itself!
The way we deal with a negative experience is learned, and energetically taken over from our personal environment in childhood. Freeing yourself from the shadow of this learned narrowing of perception is deep, embodied, spiritual work. Only at the root of perception, where this false belief arises, is deep letting go possible.
That is why we feel spiritual work is so important in healing trauma. Only where we recognise where the mind arises and where beliefs get their power from is change possible – and a healing that does not need to be repeated. There, no time and no more space are needed to dissolve the connections physically and mentally.
This orientation in our work towards what is more than thoughts and feelings is the key to change. A combination of spiritual approaches and body-oriented therapy is a clear, down-to-earth and effective way of healing on all levels.
