I Show You My World

_I Show You My World and You Show Me Yours_

There is a quiet beauty in the relationship between parents and children. It can't be planned, and it doesn't arise from concepts, but from real encounter. From honest looking. From shared wonder at a world we believe we know, and which still surprises us again and again when we are willing to see it anew.

When a child enters our life, it doesn't just bring questions. It brings an attitude. An openness that doesn't judge but explores, that doesn't presuppose but discovers.

Therein lies an often underestimated invitation: to question our own view, to loosen fixed answers and to open ourselves again to not-knowing – a space full of possibilities.

We show the child our world. Our structures, our experiences, our way of understanding. At the same time, the child shows us a world without rigid categories. A world that senses, asks and tries things out. In this movement a shared space arises in which learning comes alive and doesn't remain one-sided.

While we give orientation, safety and clarity, the child reminds us of something essential. That life is not only knowledge, but immediate experience. Curiosity. The courage to ask questions we forgot long ago. And suddenly we can feel that we often didn't stop asking because there were no more questions, but because we had grown used to answers.

A child sees the world in all its simultaneity. Fear and joy. Cruelty and love. Chaos and order. Without having to settle on one right away. We often lose this ability because we have learned to sort and to judge. But that is exactly what takes away the freshness of direct experience.

In the encounter with a child, the possibility of finding this freshness again arises. Not by becoming children again, but by opening up. By exploring again. Asking again. Without having to have answers right away. In this lies an aliveness that can't be made, only allowed.

At the same time, the child learns through us. Through our presence. Through the way we deal with life. How we hold, let go, decide and feel. It takes in not only what we say, but who we are. Our clarity. Our insecurities. Our way of being with life. In this way the relationship becomes a mirror in which both grow.

Through us, the child learns stability and trust. An inner orientation that carries. And through the child, we learn to become softer again. More open. More alive. Less fixed in what we believe we know.

It is exactly this movement that makes the relationship so special. It is not static. It is constantly changing. It isn't about one person knowing and the other learning. It is about both staying in motion. About both being willing to let themselves be touched.

Perhaps this is where the beauty of being a parent lies. Not in doing everything right. But in being on the way together. Meeting each other anew again and again. And discovering that the world changes with every glance.

And perhaps that is exactly what children remind us of. That life is not a finished picture, but a living process. One that invites us to look, feel and explore together. Again and again. With open eyes.

Perhaps as you read this you sense that it isn't only about understanding, but about a different way of meeting your own experience – slower, closer, more honest. This very ability to read the body, to hold inner states and to safely accompany people through such processes is something that can be learned and deepened.

In our Emotional Therapeutic Coach training starting October 2026 we open exactly this space: a place where you don't just take in knowledge, but learn to perceive subtle inner movements, to recognize shock, helplessness and anger in the body, and to accompany people – and yourself – through these processes.

If this depth is calling you and you sense that something essential for your own path lies within it, this training could be a next step – not as a concept, but as a real, embodied experience.

Love,
